I’ve began practicing Falun Gong in 2010. I’m 34 years old. Overall, the greatest changes have shown themselves through my character, habits, health, and insights. Notably, I no longer smoke, do drugs, or drink alcohol. All of these were heavy addictions that I thought I would never part with. I’ve grown immensely calm and considerate of others during various kinds of tribulations. And I feel like—even during the toughest times in life, when things feel hopeless, miserable, and confusing—I feel a tremendous confidence in my ability to endure the hardship well and kindly.

I started Falun Gong at age 71 and had painful knees when walking . I was told, “it’s a bit of arthritis”. I was, therefore, rather concerned doing the exercises, as for exercises 1 to 4 one has to stand with knees slightly bend, so that the energy can freely flow through. It was a bit difficult in the beginning, but I could do it. After some time I realised I had no longer knee pain while walking, and 12 years older I am still free of knee pain.
